Do you love learning about the ocean? How about the amazing animals in it? This course is about all the incredible things that live in the ocean and how they can survive in such an exciting environment! In this course, students will be exploring the incredible and amazing animals in the midnight, twilight, and photic zones of the ocean while also learning about how they interact with their environment. Students will work through digital simulations to solve problems, create unique ocean creatures that can survive under certain environmental pressures, watch exciting footage of these organisms and even discuss the lore behind some of them (i.e. the Kracken! ah!).
If you are someone who loves learning about new animals, enjoys hand-on activities, or likes to creatively problem solve then you do not want to miss this class! Any background knowledge is welcome! Whether you know a lot or very little about the deep blue, your trained marine biology instructor will help you explore areas of interests as well as new areas of knowledge. Looking forward to exploring with you! Space is limited!
