What can Star Wars teach us about science, literature and history? A lot. This class is a critical analysis of the technological, literary and cultural significance of the Star Wars saga and how it relates to the challenges we face today. Students will do a deep dive into thematic units focusing on real world applications and project based learning. Topics include: artificial intelligence, astrophysics, robotics, concept art, mythology and the hero’s journey.
Custom designed for the virtual classroom, you will be immersed in engaging games and discussions within a multimedia audio/visual format and have tons of fun while expanding your skills in critical thinking and analysis. The last day of class will be student led with live presentations and a surprise guest performance! Whether you are a diehard Star Wars fan, a history buff or techie, this will be an entertaining as well as informative experience that could be the highlight of your summer.
