What makes a hero heroic? A monster monstrous? Can we design a damsel out of distress? This class examines the aesthetics of character design, how shape design, costume, and color communicate to enhance the stories they take part in. Through this course students will learn the fundamentals of character and creature design and implement them into their own creations.
This class is recommended for visual storytellers of all abilities, from illustrators to game designers to filmmakers. Students will need art supplies, either traditional or digital.
