Spirited Away, Ponyo, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, From Up on Poppy Hill and many more! Let’s watch the best in animation from Japan’s Studio Ghibli. The films screened during this week will be different from those shown during Week 4 of the June session.
We will discuss the animation process, the sound and audio recording process, the references to mysticism and mythical monsters, and how they represent culture, history, and food. We also will view a behind the scenes of the creative process.
