Save the dying skill of sewing! According to fashion experts, people are no longer sewing their own clothes or learning this important skill. This class focuses on teaching how to use the sewing machines that are most commonly used to make the clothes we wear every day. Students will learn the basics of domestic single-needle sewing machines as well as their functions for different stitches. Students will create an album with samples of their own work and will apply their skills on basic garment construction so they can make a few garments. A portable sewing machine is required to take this class.
