Spotlight on 2e: Strategies for Teaching 2e Students

This entry in the series is entitled “Strategies for Teaching 2e Students: Building on What’s Right About Twice-Exceptional Learners” and is based on research from the Bridges 2e Center. It was originally published in 2019. What comes to mind when you hear the word gifted? The image most people see is the super-achiever who sits in the front row, who always has a hand raised, who always gets the A’s. Sometimes that’s true, but not always. Some gifted children have learning difficulties of one kind or another. Estimates of how many vary greatly, anywhere from 2 to 5 percent to as high as 20 percent of gifted children. Best practices for effectively educating this population are discussed in the pdf below.
