OFF TO COLLEGE? Not you — your 2e offspring. Two pieces in our inbox address the blessed event, and while neither focuses directly on 2e students, both seem to offer useful tips — one set for parents, one for students.
— The Washington Post offers “Eight pieces of wisdom for parents sending a child off to college.” Example: “Know when to get involved.” Find the article.
— A friendly article from a student intern at Wichita State University offers students tips on dealing with college in the face of anxiety. Sample tips: join an organization; learn a topic by teaching it to someone else; use a tutor if necessary; and do not mess around on your laptop during class. Find the article.
