SUPPORT FOR SPECIAL ED COMMUNITY. A newly-formed alliance called Educating All Learners has the goal of providing resources to offset or ameliorate virus-related school closures. According to Education Dive, the alliance “features resources, case studies, webinars and virtual ‘office hours’ and brings together special education and technology organizations, such as the National Center for Learning Disabilities and the International Society for Technology in Education.” Find out more.

CHILD MIND INSTITUTE: “This week on childmind.org we share suggestions from our ADHD experts on how to provide extra support and structure to help kids with ADHD focus and manage their behavior at a time that’s stressful for everyone.” Find the suggestions.

DYSLEXIC ADVANTAGE. This organization’s April newsletter is out. It honors the 25 Karina Eide Scholars for 2020; these are distinguished college students who have dyslexia. The newsletter also includes an article on remote learning. Find the newsletter.

REMOTE RESOURCE. The Summit Center of California has made available a variety of telehealth services, including virtual assessment, remote counseling, and remote consultation. Summit Center is a 2e-friendly provider of psychological and educational services. Find out more.

SENG is offering a webinar devoted to “the basic principles of trauma-informed learning, as it applies to school-at-home and homeschooling during COVID19; address the social-emotional needs of three different categories of gifted families; and offer tips and reassurance on how parents and teachers can support a gifted child’s learning needs during a time of crisis.” The event is scheduled for April 20 at 7:30pm ET. While the webinar platform is evidently already fully reserved, the event will also be live-streamed on SENG’s Facebook page, according to the organization. We don’t see any info right now on the SENG site.
