RESEARCH PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY. Via the Summit Center newsletter we learned of a research study being conducted by a Ph.D. student at California’s Wright Institute. The researcher is seeking input from parents of gifted and 2e children between 5 and 11 who have attended school within the last six years. The researcher states, “We hope to learn about the spectrum of your child’s experiences and struggles in public school.  We also hope to learn about their strengths and your experiences.” Find out more.

— The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation reports on a study indicating that remission of irritability within four weeks of the beginning of antidepressant treatment is an indicator of how likely treatment will be on depression symptoms. Find the study write-up.
— From the “what a concept!” department, via Science Daily. “A researcher collaborated with the World Health Organization on the first study to seek input from people with common mental health issues on how their disorders are described in diagnostic guidelines.” Find the study write-up.
