— ASD and pain, from Physician’s Briefing: “Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have an elevated prevalence of pain compared with children without ASD….” Read more.
— Experiential avoidance, from Healio: “Experiential avoidance is a predictor for major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder symptomatology in older adolescents, data from an observational, longitudinal study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry suggest.” (Wikipedia says that experiential avoidance is “broadly defined as attempts to avoid thoughts, feelings, memories, physical sensations, and other internal experiences….”) Find the study write-up.
