2e or Not 2e: Differences in Executive Function Deficits

Executive functioning deficits by no means are limited to twice-exceptional students. Gifted and neurotypical learners also can experience executive function challenges. But the manner in which these deficits manifest and are addressed can be different for 2e students, who could be described as being “super asynchronous.” 2e News talks with executive functioning coach Seth Perler about these differences and parent and teacher misunderstandings of these students that can ensue.
